Birth Justice NL is a grassroots, nonprofit organization that strives to elevate the reproductive justice movement across the province known as Newfoundland and Labrador. We aim to promote a culture of holistic wellness, autonomy, and support for all families and all communities by advocating for barrier-free access and choice across the entire reproductive spectrum.
WHAT WE DO
We're fostering a movement for holistic wellness, autonomy and support in the reproductive experiences of people across Newfoundland and Labrador.
Birth Justice NL takes a holistic approach to problem-solving. Our mission is to advocate for systemic change while supporting individuals in learning about their options and accessing the care and support they need to make the choices that feel right for them. We do this through political engagement, public education, and community collaboration.
Promoting access to options so that people can choose the care that's right for them.
Giving people the tools to push for change for themselves and their communities.
Uniting individuals, communities, and organizations to support reproductive justice in our province.
"I don't care what kind of birth you have...a home birth, scheduled cesarean, an epidural hospital birth or if you give birth alone in the woods next to a baby deer. I care that you had options, that you were supported in your choices and that you were respected."
